Adam altın kesesini elinde tartmış. Bu az demiş. Keseyi dereye atmış. Kızımla evlenmek istiyorsan, yenisini getir demiş.
Delikanlı yeniden bir kese altınla gelmiş. Adam, bu az demiş. Keseyi dereye atmış. Yenisini getir demiş. Çocuğun tüm parası bitene kadar hep aynısı olmuş.
Parası biten çocuk. İş bulup çalışmaya başlamış. Kazandığı parayı adama getirmiş. Adam bu yetmez demiş. Adam keseyi dereye atacak iken, delikanlı adamın elini tutmuş. Adamın altın kesesini dereye atmasına izin vermemiş.

A pouch of gold
